Canadian winter approved skirts
Updated: Oct 2, 2019
I wanted to start this blog off with my favourite article of clothing...skirts!!! This checkered pattern has been so on trend last year as well as this year! I've been loving this skirt with a comfy & chunky beige coloured sweater! This skirt was purchased from Zara and it was worth the money as I have worn it a handful of times already for work and have gotten many compliments on it!
The grey shade also makes it very versatile for an office environment as well as any season as well.
I also have been interested in the tweed trend this winter as well. This skirt was also purchased at Zara when they were having their after Christmas sales. Can you believe I paid only $9.00 CAD for it? It is considered a mini skirt so I did have a longer black vest paired with it so that I was completely covered in the behind.
This beautiful mustard yellow bell sleve ribbed longsleeve sleeve is from Forever21 and my mom had bought me this for Christmas. However, I did see it recently still in stores for anyone who interested ;)
With the cold weather we have tend to have in Canada, I try to find skirts that are more on the long side and that are also somewhat warm. With that being said, I recently added two velvet skirts to my collection! A red one from Zara (surprise, surprise) and this beautiful silver blue one from a boutique in Toronto called Obsessions close to where I work.
The best thing about these type of skirts is that you can pair them with a black turtleneck and some heels and look instantly put together and glam!
Another skirt that I have acquired which is very similar in look and silhouette to the velvet ones, is this one from Suzy Shier.
I wore this skirt a lot during the Holidays since it has a glittery overlay and it basically is a grown up version of a tutu!
Finally, my favourite type of skirts are ones that can be worn to the office in multiple different ways since we spend most our time at work during the week anyways!
This herringbone skirt is from Joe Fresh believe it or not and I got it on sale for $15.00 CAD. It was a steal for sure since I love anything in a herringbone pattern... my mouse pad at work is also a herringbone pattern...
The last of my favourites includes this pencil skirt that is from H&M. I love the slight faded red in the checkered pattern. The silhouette is also very slimming and the faux buttons that have been added all the way down the thigh are a sexy yet professional touch in my opinion!
Hope everyone enjoyed my current favorite 7 Canadian Winter Approved Skirts!
